Wifi-Enabled Sansa Connect MP3 Player

Microsoft"s (arguably) largest innovation in the Zune is about to lose its unique touch. Well, partially at least. Sure, the new Sansa Connect by SanDisk doesn"t have the same song sharing features as the Zune but, wireless Internet is a go. The Sansa Connect employs wireless hot spots for downloading music and photos. The SC comes with 4GB internal storage and a microSD slot for expanding storage further, a 2.2-inch colour screen and a speaker for sans headphone usage.

"It"s about accessing music of your choice wherever you are. If you"re listening to new songs from a music service and find ones you want to keep, you can bring them into your library and don"t have to wait until you get back to your PC. If you want to tell your friends about your discoveries, the Sansa Connect will also allow you to share music suggestions over the Web—anytime, anywhere—over an open wireless Internet network," said Eric Bone, product marketing director for SanDisk"s audio and video line.

Expect the Sansa Connect in late March 2007 at price of $249.99 USD.
