Windows Live Messenger 2010 beta preview

Windows Live Wave 4 has leaked onto the Internet, and bundled with it comes Windows Live Messenger 2010 (version 15) beta.  The UI has been modified from the previous 2009 build (version 14), with some additional social networking additions, including Windows Live Profile, and (not-yet-functioning) Facebook integration.

Some other noticeable additions to WLM2010 are an overhauled contact list window.  The contact list now functions as a social network feed, showing the latest updates from your friends.  You can instantly share photos and links directly from your status window.

The instant messaging window also received the long-awaited tabs, allowing for multiple conversations in a single window.  The Messenger Team also updated the emoticons by changing out the the old smiles for updated icons.
