The Radeon RX 7000 Series is not the newest of what AMD has to offer, but, like it usually goes with PC hardware, the existence of a newer generation makes previous-gen stuff more affordable and a more viable option for many. This is exactly the case with the RX 7900XT from XFX. This high-end graphics card with 20 GB of video memory is now available on Amazon at a new all-time low price, notably cheaper than newer high-end models.
The RX 7900XT has 84 compute units (CU) and operates at the maximum clocks of 2,400 MHz. It has 20 GB of video memory, which makes it a great option for memory-intensive tasks at a lower price (for reference, the RX 9000 series maxes out at 16 GB of video memory). The graphics card has a typical board power rated at 315W, and it requires a power supply capable of delivering at least 750W via two eight-pin connectors (no 12VHPWR connectors here).
As for ports, you get two DisplayPort 2.1, one HDMI 2.1, and one USB Type-C. There are also three fans for effective and quiet cooling, with 0dB support when not under heavy load. This variant from XFX is not the flashiest one, but the lack of RGB is compensated for with a stealthy look and a more affordable price tag.
Of course, if you do not care about VRAM and you think 16GB will be enough for you, the RX 9070 or Nvidia"s RTX 5070 might be a more reasonable choice, but for those who want as much VRAM as possible for less than $600, the RTX 7900XT is an unbeatable option.
