In a move to bolster it"s media and entertainment division, Yahoo! Inc. has hired Lloyd Braun, a former ABC television programmer. Mr. Braun"s primary objective is to convince movie, TV and music companies to distribute more content to Yahoo"s 90 million monthly viewers.
Braun was responsible for overseeing the development of such shows as HBO"s "The Sopranos" and ABC"s "Lost" and "Desperate Housewives."
Braun admits to knowing little about the internet industry and said, "It"s probably both a blessing and a curse. I"m going to have to get my hands dirty from Day One in terms of learning the business, then smartly navigate the waters after that."
