You get to keep Quake Champions if you download the free trial this week

Bethesda announced Quake Champions at E3 2016 in a cinematic trailer, promising players a multiplayer experience reminiscent of the classic. The title made its way to Steam early access in August 2017 with a price tag of $29.99.

However, in a surprise announcement today, Bethesda has announced that Quake Champions is getting a free trial from June 10 to June 17. What"s even more interesting is that players who download the game through the Bethesda.net launcher or Steam, and log in, will be able to play the game completely free of cost even after the trial period ends and before the free-to-play game launches out of early access.

The game also received a new trailer, which you can view below:

There"s not much to say about Quake Champions except that it offers a fast-paced multiplayer experience similar to the original Quake. However, the title has "mixed" ratings on Steam currently, with players lamenting performance issues and lootboxes. That said, some have also noted that the game is getting better with every update - you can check out for yourself by downloading the game from Steam.
