ZTE Nubia Z7 phablet is now available at under £200 (or $300) at GearBest

In a world where smartphone manufacturers such as Xiaomi battle for supremacy in every big market, we have become accustomed to seeing more and more affordable phones come out with flagship specs, making it hard even for established companies such as Samsung to stay competitive, which is now forced to lower the prices for its S6 flagships.

If you"ve been on the lookout for an "affordable flagship" smartphone, GearBest is now offering the ZTE Nubia Z7 for a price of just £190 (or $300). Although the device is not as powerful as the ZTE Nubia Z9, its specs are certainly impressive at this price, and is quite comparable to Xiaomi"s Redmi Mi Note.

The Nubia Z7 has a 5.5 inch 2560 by 1440 (QHD) IPS LCD display, and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 SoC (2.5 Ghz quad core CPU, with an Adreno 330 GPU) and 3GB of RAM. It features no microSD card slot, but it does have 32GB of onboard storage. The rear and front cameras are a 13Mp and a 5Mp shooter respectively.

On the connectivity side, it is a dual-SIM 4G smartphone (do note that it doesn"t support the 4G bands used by T-Mobile in the U.S.), supports Bluetooth 4.0, 802.11ac Wi-Fi, and NFC. The Nubia Z7 has a 3000mAh non-removable battery, and runs Android 4.4.2 (KitKat).
