movies 'Deadpool' movie screenplay completed

Deadpool director Tim Miller has revealed that early work has been completed on the project, but full studio backing is still being sought.

The helmer confirmed that a script for the Marvel Comics adaptation has been turned in and lead actor Ryan Reynolds remains on board, but the movie's future now rests in the hands of 20th Century Fox.

"We've turned in an amazing script and done some early tests and visual development that - I'm confident - would get the fans stoked. And Ryan still loves the project," SuperHeroHype quotes Miller as saying.

"It's really up to Fox as to whether or not the film happens - all I can do is hope (and beg periodically) that it be allowed to move ahead."

Reynolds first portrayed the 'Merc with a Mouth' on screen in Gavin Hood's X-Men Origins: Wolverine, but the new movie will bear no connection to the X-Men prequel.

Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick provided the screenplay for Deadpool, which is tentatively scheduled for a 2014 release.

Looking forward to this. Ryan can do well with comedic roles. Lets hope it's not like green lantern, which still wasn't that bad.
