Hi guys/gals,

As you know I've been really busy with my Masters degree, and 2.0 has been delayed. I've also not had the Internet at home, so I've lost track off all the goodies (especially updated goodies).

Things I have:

Dazzla's WMP Skins (with video support)

All of Jim_Phelps' stuff (Winamp etc)

Due to a re-format (2003 died on me again, back on XP), I lost my temp DL folder (which had most of the goodies).

So, I need your help to get 2.0 out! The more help I get, the sooner its out :)

If you contributed to Opus OS by making a skin (or know where to get it), please could you post here with the name of the app, preferably a screenshot and a link to the latest version!

Also, please mention any bugs that need fixing! If I get a list of all the apps, it may even be released tonight!

question, is this only for the people that helped you originally? or are you just looking for help overall? Im not exactly sure what you want/need

he's asking for everyone that's contributed by making a skin for an application to match the theme to post it in the thread and msg him or whatnot .. what's not to understand? :l

Sorry to here about your crash, b0se. I made these for my personal use and was wondering if you or anybody else is interested in them. They are modified msgina.dll files. Easily installed using Replacer. The button bitmaps are from Snidely Whiplash's Opus OS port. Unfortunately, I can't find a way to contact him for permission. If anybody has an e-mail address for Snidely, please PM me. Anyway, with your blessing and pending permission from Mr. Whiplash they will become available to all.

yeah, but the guy said it's only for his personal use until he gets approval to release or gets in touch with b0se :pinch:

edit: pic of it here

nice, i'm sure if i learned that bb4win could properly be used on all mons i'd be able to figure out the theming, and quickly whip one up for personal use ;)

    • Linux 7.2's first release candidate gets off to a good start by Paul Hill Credit: Larry Ewing It has been a few weeks since the release of Linux 7.1, and in that time, the Linux 7.2 merge window has been open, where developers can submit their features and patches ready for the upcoming release. That window is now shut, and the release candidate phase has begun so that new features can be tested and further fixes applied. According to the founder of Linux, Linus Torvalds, this week’s release candidate looks “reasonably normal”. Although we are super early in the release candidates, this is a good sign as it makes it more likely that an eighth release candidate will not be needed. Torvalds even mentioned that the update’s stats are only larger than they really are because there was another AMD header drop with a third of the patch just being AMD GPU register definitions, which aren’t big changes but make the code contributed look larger overall. In addition to this, he noted that just over half the patch is drivers, even when excluding the AMD register dump. The rest of the changes are spread out over architecture updates, tooling, documentation, and core kernel updates. In the next week, Torvalds says that he will be chilling out, taking the week “mostly off”. Despite this, he will be reading emails and keeping up with things, so if he is slow responding, now you know why. He said he is hoping for a calm week, but we will just have to see if the second release candidate is actually like that. We should expect seven or eight release candidates before Linux 7.2 is released, so expect it around the end of August. If you missed it a few weeks ago, be sure to check out our coverage of Linux 7.1's release.
