I just installed Xandros Linux and although my Wireless Keyboard works in the OS it doesn't work at the boot menu.

I have a Microsoft Wireless keyboard and Mouse

I also noticed this same problem when I tried to Install Suse 9.1

If anyone has a solution to this I would appriciate it

the wireless isnt a problem you will dinfinely need a to plug it in to the keyboard port rather than the usb.

I have the same problem and my standard microsoft wireless keyboard is plugged into the PS2 port ( this has happened with Debian and Gentoo attempted installs)

this will happen with any distro as the console doesn't support usb keyboard that use there own protocol like m$'s ones via the usb port by if it goes through the ps/2 port it will use the ps/2 protocol

Ghostdraconi, you need to enable USB Legacy support in your BIOS.

As for everyone else, you guys must not be loading some modules on startup. I run my Logitech Cordless MX Duo through USB and have no problems whatsoever at any stage of using my computer (Boot menu, console, X). I have used Microsoft USB keyboards and don't have any problems either.

Here are the modules you'll need on a 2.6 Kernel:

usbcore, usbhid, uhci_hcd, usbkbd, usbmouse

For USB2 devices make sure you load the ehci_hcd module and for devices such as thumbdrives you'll need the usb_storage module.
