Xbox live issue

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I'm having an issue where I'm bring chucked of Xbox live quite a lot (been playing since 8 and it's done it about 5/6 time). I can just got on Xbox live and it will throw be off or it can happen like 20mins + but eventually I get thrown off. I can be in a game or just on the dashboard and it will do it. When I get disconnected I have to sigh back on and when I do I can't join it matches or party's so I have to totally restart the Xbox

It's not my Internet as neither my laptop or iPhone are thrown off. I have tried restarting the Internet etc etc. this had been an on going problem from Atleast December.

I connect to my BT home hub via a wireless network adapter

Can anyone hell it's driving me crazy now!

Not used my xbox or ps3 in a few days so cant comment on that however as i am on BT Inifinity i can comment on the BT Homehub i dont rate as a great router its only 150mb wireless N with 2 internal antenna's ..... get a 3rd party router that does wireless n at 300mb (and preferably one with 3 antenna's) you will get better wireless performance... YES bt allow you to use your own router (unlike sky)

Personaly i have http://www.broadband...?ProductID=8074

as it supports ADSL2+ and has an EWAN port to use a seperate modem like the one for BT Infinity as Infinity 40mb service uses VDSL2 to the exchange, the new 100mb service they lay fiber to your house, but from what i see i think it still uses vdsl2 like modem...

PS another reason to NOT use the BT HomHub

the BT FON Opt In (Free Mobile WiFI)

https://www.bt.com/s...pages/info.html

2) Wi-Fi access outside of the home is only available if you are part of the BT FON Wi-Fi Community. Opting in means that, when in range of another member?s signal, you will be able to securely access the Internet using a portion of their Wi-Fi bandwidth. Other BT FON Wi-Fi Community members will also be able to securely access the Internet using a portion of the bandwidth available from your BT Home Hub when they are in range (of the signal).

so if you Opt into the BT FON Free WIFI you, and someone else comes walking past your house who also optted into the free wifi can access a portion of ur wireless/net for free ...this is HOW BT Offer so many free hotspots :shiftyninja:
