Good Steam Games

I have played borderlands before didn't really like it that much I had crysis games fun never played far cry and I head Brink was horrible and when they had a free weekend for brink a couple of months ago it didnt work with my graphics card so I may get it again and try it since I got a new gaming computer.

  • Penumbra: Black Plague
  • Amnesia: The Dark Descent

Fun games, although I prefer Amnesia over Penumbra. Some of the puzzles in Penumbra just don't make any sense. Amnesia on the other hand had puzzles that could be difficult but at least made sense, and the atmosphere was amazing. I found myself genuinely terrified at points.

Crisys, Far Cry (1 and 2), BFBC2...btw you have a lots of unplayed games!

No I do not lol this is a new computer I got for playing games.

Did you just admitted you ****ed your pants in front of everyone?

Anyway, I will also put a vote in for Metor 2033. I think it was an underrated title.

I've been introduced to Amnesia today and it's shi*loads of fun! :D

There are also incredibly awesome mods available to it!

Others to note: Mafia 2 and LA Noire

Apart from that this thread so far pretty much hasn't disappointed me in suggestions, so I have little to add atm... :)

If you're looking for something a bit un-FPS, try Mass Effect 1 and 2. Both great games and while they're essentially RPG games, the combat is basically third-person shooter. I'm mainly an FPS guy (TF2, Left 4 Dead, CS:S, etc), and I love the mass effect games.

The third game in the series won't be on Steam (at least not for a while yet), but the first two are, and they're well worth trying. You can pick them both up on Steam for less than ?30 in the UK :).

    • lol it was a typo, fixed! haha imagine an actual 4TB Gen4 NVMe for $40 in 2026
    • Get over it, has nothing to do with my point.
    • I really don't like these rounded corners and huge borders in the viewport. They just waste space without anything in return.
