[massive spoilers] Matrix 3

Recommended Posts

Sorry for starting the new thread, but the other said no spoilers so I guess I should start a new one:

I just got back from seeing it. Thought it was brilliant. The only thing is that I didnt quite get the ending. What happened with Neo and Smith? Earlier in the film, it was said that they were the exact oposite, does that mean that they combined to make something ultimate? Is Neo now the light? If someone could clear that up that would be great. Thanks.

This is a spoiler, so don't scroll down if you don't want to know what happens.

Smith took over Neo, removing him from the equation. The machines then killed Neo, killing Smith, so the equation was balanced and the Matrix was able to function. That's why the Architect tells the Oracle that she took a big risk, but that it worked.

They weren't combined, they were removed, which is why the Smiths died like they did in the first one.

The little girl is a representation of a program that will work to make the Matrix better, and shows how there is peace.

the little girl is unimportant... I think neo became the cat?

Neo isn't the cat. The cat is to show you that there was a deja vu like in the first movie; deja vu happens when something is changed, in this case, the machines fixed the Matrix after what had happened with Smith.

aaa :) It all makes sence now :p I thought the cat was neo because it suddenly appeard when he and smith was gone and the cat went up to sati and then in the park the orekal said they would probebly se neo again.. I just assumed she was talking about the cat :p

good questions pingchp. Also, thinking about it, arnt we now in the same ****ty situation where all the humans are plugged into the matrix and the machines are just using us again? I assume that some humans are living in Zion, but a lot of humans will still be needed to power the matrix, which as we saw is still functioning!

They agreed to free those that wanted out.

Thanks userguy, for clear that point.

But, I've something that just donno.

Why Neo saw GOLD matrix, what does that mean ? why only robot ? and Why he saw SMITH in humam body too ?

TIA

Neo was able to see the machines and everything from the machine world because he was created by the machines, and his power was able to be used in the machine world. That's why he said that Smith would eventually destroy the machine world as well, because he was capable of existing in and out of the Matrix.

It wasn't a gold matrix, it was the phsyical makeup of the machine world that he was able to see, which is also quite likely how many machines saw things.

He saw Smith in Baine's body because Smith took over Baine in Reloaded. That was very key because it showed that a program could be loaded into a human brain, which is what happened with Neo.

Thanks very much,

just another question to clear all those thing:

1. That's why the Architect tells the Oracle that she took a big risk, but that it worked.

-What did you mean RISK ? What risk ?

2. At the end of movie, for THE MATRIX as we saw them. Is that version 7.0 or just sticky with 5.0 ?

please explain,

TIA

The way i interperated it was that Smith combined with the oricle, who lied to smith about how it was going to end, just like how she lied to morpheus so that Smith would take the path that would lead to peace being restored. At the end Smith combined with Neo, so the machines had a direct link to Smith through Neos body, by killing Neo in the real world kills Smith, as Smith is a virus and has been terminated and Neo is dead, the oricale is the only one that survies. Plz correct me if ive misinterperated

That one actually makes incredable sense!

Now heres a what if, if you ever wanted one...

What would stop a human, as flawed as we are, from doing something like robbing a bank or going on a killing spree, but instead of getting caught, ask to leave the matrix....

That would make the 'real world' alot like...well...a prison.....

Think about that one...

It's not like a frickin' survery here :). Seriously though, its a subconsious choice about where you WANT to be (karma if you will). Outside the matrix there are both a free human and machine city. The matrix itself is huge system (the center is the source) where machines and humans live together.

At the end of the movie you learn that smith and neo are opposites of eachother. There the architects programming trying to create a balance, when smith and neo come together, they are both removed. Neo is integrated back into the source, and the matrix is restarted.

At the end you realize once and for all the oracle is the mother (unbalancer) the architect the father (the balancer) and you realize that together they allow humans and machines to coexist peacefully.

1. The risk was Neo letting smith take him over, to balance the "anomaly", and let both die, "equalizing" the matrix.

2. Its still the 3rd.

    • All it does is use the CPU more efficiently during boot to speed up boot times. That's it. Yawn....
    • It's not a one or the other kind of thing. Software should run efficiently, and the operating system should appropriately manage the CPU clocks. You could have the best most optimized software on earth, and it will still run faster if the CPU does a better job of boosting as needed. All this is doing is pre-boosting the CPU based on user actions, instead of waiting for the normal detection mechanism to kick in. If the OS knows it is about to need more CPU, why shouldn't it use that knowledge? It's the same idea of downshifting before you try to pass someone, instead of just burying your foot into the peddle and waiting for the transmission to figure out what you want to do.

    • There really isn't anything magical about the low latency profile, other OS's do this as well. All they're doing is using your CPUs boost clock options in a more smarter way.
    • So we shouldn't have the option because of people using their laptops on battery? OK? LOL
