A resistant and good quality Aux Extension Cable + High Quality Aux Cable

Recommended Posts

'Sup neowin!

"Easy but complex" dilemma I have today!

You see, I've been spending quite much on Aux Extension cables lately. In fact, I've purchased 12 of them over the last 3 years. What I want, is to connect my Surround system to my laptop, and I'll need 3 extension cables for it. Unfortunately, I can't say I treat them properly. They are usually on the floor, and they are usually mopped over (I have a protective base, but that is not enough), so I'll need something that can take a considerate amount of damage.

The next issue is that I need to replace a Bose Companion 2 Series Auxiliary Cable, since it is also badly treated and the music isn't listening as good as it used to be.

So, what can you recommend me?

Thanks a lot! :p

Hello,

Get good quality cables, then put them inside some cord ducting.

Thanks :p. And that's exactly what I have!

Hello,

Wow. We use cord ducting in places where we roll carts around at work and it holds up to that. I'm wondering what sort of environment you must be in for that to not work...

Have you looked at installing the cable in plastic spiral weave or metal hose? Another thing to do might be to look at running the cabling differently, tacking it along wallboard, in the ceiling with cable drops, etc.

My room :p

That's a good suggestion. Going to see if I can get a small hose to do the work (my mom is going to kill me and I'll laugh at her very load)

Now... what I really need is someone to recommend me high quality Aux Cables.

Hello,

Maybe put some armored (metal) flexible conduit inside the cord duct, and route the cable through that?
