The new Xbox One console from Microsoft has been given a pre-order price of ?399.99 and a UK release date of November 30th, according to UK retailers.

Zavvi and ShopTo have sent out emails opening their pre-orders for the new Xbox One, which was revealed to the world last night.

The Xbox event kept talk of price and release dates to a minimum, only saying that the Xbox One would be released worldwide "later this year".

New games such as FIFA 14 and Call of Duty Ghosts look set to be priced at ?50 each, if you believe the figures being advertised now. Xbox 360 games will not be compatible with the new Xbox One it was revealed.

The "all-in-one system where it all comes together", was how Microsoft described the Xbox One, with games, movies, music and a fresh focus on live TV.

The Xbox One has HDMI inputs and outputs, and a Blu-ray drive ? five years after the failure of HD-DVD, which Microsoft originally backed.

Rumours before the Xbox Reveal event suggested two price models for the next Xbox, with a standalone version for $499 and a $299 version that requires a two-year Xbox LIVE Gold commitment, at an expected price of $10 per month. We shall see.

Yes you can actually pre-order for that price, but it does not mean that is what it will be.
