compl3x
So I am building a new system and I am deciding on a GPU. There are 2 brands that I am not really familiar with, they are also the cheapest brands in each series of cards. (Cheapest 750to/760/770 etc.) Does anyone have any experience with these manufacturers? Should I just pay the extra money for a better known brand? gracias. xendrome
Get what you pay for in my experience, EVGA is who I stick with Vvo, MorganX and Lenny Bruce 3 Share
HawkMan
Gainward is a very well known brand they're also very high quality, f all the ones making Nvidia cards today I'd rate them as possibly the highest quality and most trustworthy. Most others like XFX, EVGA, and so on are also far "younger" than Gainward who has been a Nvidia quality OEM since the first nvidia GPU cards. If you're looking at a 770, take a look at the EVGA 970, entering the market at $349, Galaxy has one at $329.

I gues it threw me because they were always the cheapest cards out of the available ones. That usually raises a red flag for me.
Luc2k
They're both fairly old and reliable brands as far as I'm aware, although I haven't seen that many of them compared to the regular OEMs and they're not necessarily the cheapest where I live. Just pay attention to the cooling and warranty length since that can vary depending on country legislation. Galaxy is sold as KFA2 in Europe, but they're going to be known as simply Galax in the in the near future.

Well their higher clocked card with the nicer functions like removable fan filters and such are also among the more expensive.
Guest
As others have said, Gainward have been making nVidia GPUs for a very long time. Never used them myself, though, but few friends have bought some of their GPUs and they've not had any problems. Haven't heard about Galaxy.
