antsy
A pure proportional system would treat a whole country as one constituency and allocate seats based on votes nationwide. Only Isreal and the Netherland use this I think. AMS or STV is the more usual form of PR used by most countries that have PR (Germany, Scotland, Ireland) a Semi proportional systems either work like AMS but with fewer additional members (Japan) or it's a system with a plurality bonus (Greece) The other option would be single winner elections but with a run off if no one gets more than 50% or the use of Instant Run-off Voting (France, Australia).
