Anyone have any idea of the plot of SM2

I heard a while back that Venom might be the story for this one??

I believe that has been pushed back possibly to Spider-Man 3. Spider-Man 2 will mostly surround Spidey vs. Dr. Octopus, with likely a subplut involving Harry Osbourne's anger at Spider-Man over the death of his father.

John Jameson's son was an astronaut, he went on a mission and brought back a parasite without knowing (symbiote venom). Spidey save the guys from the shuttle (I think) and he got infected and one morning he woke up and he was black suited spider-man and he realized that he had all his powers enhanced, he was stronger, faster. And Carnage was a piece of that symbiote that stucked with a psycho killer... that's why carnage uses knives, axes shaped weapons. (someone elaborate more, I've just saw this on the animated series)

its too bad Venom wont be in the third movie... mysterio really sucks :(

Jameson's son was an astronaut but he brought back a moon rock that turned him into a werewolf.

the symbiote black suite was originally gotten on a different world when Spiderman and other hero's faught in the secret wars against the beyonder. The suite turned out to be alive and spiderman denounced it. Eddy brock hated spiderman for ruining his new journalist career. Short story. Eddie Brock and the suite merged.

from the original spiderman comics

Black costume background - Spidey got the black costume during the "Secret Wars" mini-series way back in the 80's. Captain America had a busted shield and somewhere on the alien planet there was a machine that could read your thoughts and manifest your desired thought and the machine mended his shield. Spidey's costume ws ragged out so he went to the machine, made his "wish", and a black ball appeared. When he touched the ball it grew on him and it became his new suit. It was alive and symbiotic, but was also killing him so he rejected it and it's hated/loved him ever since.

I'm not sure where thta astronaut story came in. Is that part of the Ultimate series?

Secret Wars - 1984

The John Jameson account you refer to, is no where close to the comic book origin of the symbiote. Spidey received the alien costume during the Secret Wars comic series. A lot of super heroes got new duds during that, only Spidey's was actually an alien symbiote that had been brought to the planet by the Beyonder. Eventually Peter realized that it was invading his mind and sought to permanently remove it. Feeling spurned and hurt, it found someone that shared those same feelings..Eddie Brock (he blamed Spiderman for losing his job among other things). From that Venom was born. He has all of Spiderman's abilites plus doesn't set off Spidey's "spider sense". Later, when Spiderman defeated Venom, Eddie Brock went to prison where he was locked up with Kletus Casady, the serial killer. The alien symbiote went looking for Eddie and busted him out. During the escape a piece (most likely and offspring of some kind, since the symbiotes reproduce asexually) of the symbiote was left behind, which joined with Kletus to form Carnage. Carnage is more like a natural symbiote (no Spiderman abilities). On the surface it's kinda gooey and take the shape and form of whatever the host imagines, similar to the liquid Terminator.

Personally, I think Venom would be a good movie character because he represents the darker side of the vigilante. He is not inherently evil per se. He still has some moral code to protect the innocent and the like, he just punishes the "bad guys" violently without remorse. Carnage on the other hand is pure evil, he seeks to destroy and kill because he thinks it's fun. I would compare Venom more to Magneto. Both are labeled as "bad guys", but their intentions are similar to the heroes, just they go about it in extreme ways.

I htink the John Jameson story everyone thinks is the origin of venom from the early 90's fox cartoon sereis. In that series John Jameson was an anstrounaut and came back from space with the symbiote.

In the Ultimate Spiderman Storyline though, the symboite was something that Brock and Parker's fathers were working on together before they died. It was intended to bond to a person and help cure diseases (namely cancer).

Venom and Carnage would be great.

I'd also love to see Mysterio, they could do some awesome graphics with his powers, would be unreal to see.

Good ol' fishbowl head.

And yeah, jameson's son being an astronaut and bringing the infected rock back is from "Spider-man: The Animated Series" or known as "Spider-man TAS". That 3 part episode is bloody great.

    • Wow, imagine you dump hundreds of hours into completing things and unlocking stuff and you lose it all. Back in the day when cheats were built into games, you could at least unlock things again that way without spending hundreds of hours again. But those days are long gone for some reason as no one builds cheats into games anymore. So it's even more painful that studio that's on its 6th installment **** it up so badly.
    • Spotify finally removes the disco ball app icon in the latest update by Ivan Jenic Image: Spotify Spotify has just released an update that removes its now infamous disco ball icon. The update reverts the app icon to the familiar flat green logo after weeks of mixed reactions online. The icon arrived on May 13 as part of the company's 20th anniversary celebration and was always intended to be temporary, though Spotify only confirmed that after the backlash started. The disco ball took the internet by storm, as the reception was split. A vocal group of users called it ugly and disorienting, with some iOS users noting that the 3D glowing effect made the app look like it was stuck mid-update. On the other end, the icon picked up a following of its own. Its retro, three-dimensional look immediately stood out against the flat, minimalist aesthetic that has dominated app design for years. It even started a small movement, spawning what people started calling "discomorphism," a mashup of disco and skeuomorphism. Other brands started posting disco ball versions of their own logos, probably in an effort to ride the wave of memes that flooded the internet during late May. Spotify has had a turbulent relationship with its user base lately. Besides the disco ball icon, which certainly wasn't appreciated by everyone, the company has also received backlash for its willingness to include AI-generated music on its platform. On May 17, Spotify promised the old icon would return “in a few weeks.” And now it looks like that time has finally arrived. So, whether you liked the disco ball or it made you uncomfortable, it’s now gone for good. The next time you update the Spotify app on your phone, the old, flat-design icon will return.
