3 Drivers in 3 days....I wonder if a new driver will be available tomorrow for me to try out :blink:

CPU: Athlon XP 2600+ Barton

GFX: Asus GeForce 4 Ti 4800 8x

RAM: 512MB DDR2700+

MOTHERBOARD: Gigabyte Ga7s748

OS: Windows XP Home SP1

I use 3DMark2001SE for driver comparisons (including image quality).

*Forceware 56.72 - 10454 3DMarks (passed)

*Forceware 61.21 - 10433 3DMarks (failed)

*Forceware 61.32 - 10456 3DMarks (failed)

*Forceware 61.40 - 10435 3DMarks

----Points to muse upon

*Renders the exact same image as 56.72 except for a single pixel :o

*Performance is close enough to previous releases to call the same.

*Point sprites test still does not complete correctly

*Messed up shaders in Far Cry

After seeing Far Cry's indoor performance, I once more have hope hope that NVIDIA has not forgotten old Ti users. It looked nothing short of great, but the trade off was messed up shader glitches outdoors. Regretably, I am forced to re-reward this driver a:

FAIL

Outdoors performance in Far Cry is messed up.... most likely because of messed up water shaders :(

On the other hand, indoors performance is GREAT!!!!! :D

I'm seeing bump mapping looking a hundred times better, and that's back on an old PS1.3 card.

I took this image, but the problem with bump mapping is that you need to be moving to notice it...
