Mobo installation problem

I was attaching my motherboard, Asus K8V SE Deluxe, to my Motherboard tray, CoolerMaster Praetorian. and i found that the backplate on the back of the motherboard makes it sit to high of the mobo tray. So when i go to put in the regular screws they were too short, and i ended up using some other ones i found. Right now theres about 4 screws somewhat holding the mobo on the tray, but its not very stable. Have any of you guys had this problem? I've talked to a guy at Cooler Master and he said he would get my some more screws, but i havent heard back from him. Does anyone have an idea of what to do?

That sure is an odd problem just get longer screws and see if it helps :)

well the screws i've got in there right now are a little bigger, put if i push down on the mobo at all it will slide down the screws, and i really dont want to harm my new mobo :(

Hmm very strange. Have you checked the mobo mounters? they could be a little too high up?

I'm not sure what the mounters would look like, because my tray is just a bunch of screw holes & the screws they gave are too short.

I would say that maybe you need to use brass rising pins to screw into the mainboard tray and then screw the board into the risers.

Maybe the case includes the plastic rising pins which clip the board in place.

YES!!, i got it working, when i was putting it together i wasnt sure what to use these screws for, sense i was so in such a rush to put this togther, and just grabbed some other ones. But i got it working perfectly thanks for the help guys.

Went without a computer for a couple weeks, wasnt cool.

:), that sucks. I cant wait to test out my new computer, but i have to wait for my new PSU to get delivered. The problem is that fedex has the package in town, but in the comments it says "Package not due for delivery", if they dont get it here today i'm going to be ****ed
