NFSU2 Problem Issues

Howcome have i install need for speed underground 2, the front intro runs ok,but when you come to the main menu everthing goes weird.

I think it's your graphics card... looks as though it's integrated to me...

oh and btw, where did you find that easy info thing?

yer it is integrated, but the requipments say its fine to run the game

I don't think they do. Most newer games require a ATi or Nvidia card...

My dad had the same problem with NHL2005, until I gave him my vid card.

ok m8 ty, can you get ati or the other graphics card for a laptop

I believe you can... not sure how. Probably have to send it back to where you got it and get it installed.

Alienware laptops have easy vid card changing, you can even use desktop cards on them.

howcome the intro works fine, but the main menu doesnt show properly

Driver issues maybe not supporting current directx standards another, and the fact that's it's integrated and probably uses system memory 32MB at the most it'll crawl like goop if it where to ever work. Try different drivers, but I doubt you'd get it to work I've never seen a via/s3 integrated graphics chip able to cope with a game like that or any game without some amount of corruption.

Thats a Laptop with intergrated Grafix - And most intergrated grafix really don't work that well (From experience !)

And the Intro movies play fine, coz I didn't think they use Hardware to render the images.... As far as I knew, they were video's playing, but compressed with codecs that you wouldn't normally find in WMP or Winamp !!!

It is your integrated video card. Will not work correctly with this game due to the rendering. And no you can't upgrade your video on this laptop. Newer models are starting to allow you to do video upgrades but this is high end stuff and still a new ability. Your out of luck on this one.
