Fedora Questions

Hello Everyone...

I am about to install Fedora Core 3 tonight and i got few questions:

1. Does Fedora Core 3 come with any partitioning tools that suppost NTFS partitioning or do i have to use the knoppix tool or my partition magic software...

2. If i like fedora core 3, then i will look to buy another hard disk for my pc so in one hard disk is only windows and in one hard disk is only linux? <-- is this possible?

3. I used many other linux distros and wasnt happy about their package managers. In Fedora Core 3, is it possible that after i install an application, for the application to appear in the applications menu?

Thanks,

1. No. Knoppix does with qtparted, though, and it is a good free alternative to Partition Magic.

2. Yes. Very easy.

3. Not sure on this. I use fluxbox and am used to a quick edit of my menu file to put the app right where I want it.

I am not sure about fedora core3, but core1 allowed me to resize my ntfs partition.

Are you sure? Fedora Core 1 & 2 (haven't used 3 yet), would let you delete NTFS partitions quite happily :woot: !

But it wouldn't resize to save its life. i had to resort to 3rd Party tools for that. I'm pretty sure there was no resizing going on.
