Losing my mobile phone..thinking to get a PDA

I forgot to let my mobile out from my jean's pocket, and what do you know, I put the jeans among with other clothes to my washing machine...

Half an hour later, I realise what's happening but it's too late... the phone can't be turned on now (and I'm still in a year plan contract) :cry:

Thinking to buy a mini O2 XDAII..but I'm not sure.. for those who have it, can you put it into your pants/jeans pocket instead of carrying it around?

I'm also thinking to just buy a new mobile phone without a plan to replace this :(

Can you place insurance on the phone? If it has a SIM, you can put your SIM in someone else's phone that has the same wireless carrier and tell your provider you want to insure the phone. Then when the insurance kicks in, report it.

LOl.. actually.. the mobile is alive and well now.. (even though after that 30-min being abused by a washing machine, complete with water and detergent :D)
