How many songs on 512mb IPod Shuffle?

but don't get a shuffle. You'll spend more time "shuffling for songs than actually listening to them."

   ....you do know you can play stuff that are from a playlist....it will only shuffle if you tell it too....

Average lengtth at around 128kb/s I'd say around maybe 200 songs. Just my opinion, but don't get a shuffle. You'll spend more time "shuffling for songs than actually listening to them."

lol You don't spend time "shuffling" for songs. The iPod does the shuffling or you can set it up by playlist. The last time I checked, consumer level CD players didn't have an LCD display either :shifty: but you don't complain about shuffling through that yourself do you?

88 4-minute mp3s @ 192kbps

133 4-minute mp3s @ 128kbps

considering capacity being 512,000KB (not really 512MB - a bit less like most manufacturers do)

he didn't mean shuffling THE songs... he meant shuffling FOR the right song. he meant spending time looking for the song you want to hear in between so many shuffled songs.

lets see... shuffle through 15 songs or 120.... hmmm. The point is, if there's a song you really like, you have to "shuffle" to find the damn thing.

it's hard to say since mp3s come in many bitrate and filesize.

if you have 192kbit mp3s, approx 5 CD albums, 6 or 7 CD albums if you're lucky

if you have 128kbit mp3s, approx 8 CD albums, 9 or 10 CD albums if you're lucky

but it's very hard to say by mp3s...

PS- i wouldn't recommend the ipod shuffle b/c it doesn't have a screen... unless apple comes out with an accessory that you can replace with a cap so it can have at least a small screen...

not to sound noobish, but 192kps for best performance & sound quality?

And if a song is in 128, how do i turn it into 192?

no. the higher the better... i recommend 192. some desire 320.

and no. impossible to make 128 turn into 192 (sound quality and performance wise)...

it's kinda like recording EP on VHS and then going back to record that EP on VHS to SP

most of the reason I think this was insanely stupid on Apple's part. It's just a stupid idea...

Sorry for hijacking this thread, but as for BoA, she can really sing and dance, and is damn hot, and has international appeal. (She's now famous in Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, China and some other Asian countries)

She debuted at 14, and now she's about 18, so there must've been a lot of changes in her appearance. You can't simply call that plastic surgery.

Anyway, I'm really glad that there's Vietnamese fan of BoA out there.

And back to topic, I don't really see the appeal of iPod Shuffle with no screen and no special feature unlike its competitors.

yes she debuted at 14. Who cares? Also, shes been singing alot & been advertising alot of japan, hell, she might as well become japan since she spends 90% of the time there.

As a korean, i read articles on music & film celebrities for my company, dont ask.

She had some plastic surgery done like facial as in double eyelid which is common for some korean females in korea.

Plus, she cant sing for squat. Lip Synching as i call it.

There are other talented korean singers out there.

People people, you don't have to shuffle if you dont want to. You can just do it the regular way if you want.

i think we all know that you dont' have to shuffle if we don't want. but it's still a pain to guess and check to find the track that you want.

to whoever said audio cd players don't have screens. they do, they have something to see what track number and sometimes the time elapsed or remaining.

as for mp3 players, it's more important to have a screen since mp3s have ID tags.

    • So what is it, "Some exciting upgrades happened under the hood, and one of those upgrades is now available to all Windows 11 users." or "Also, you may need to enable it manually, as new features are rolling out gradually. Here is how to do it:" We keep hearing these are rolling out but they never seem to show up, we have force them on with ViVetool. Getting a bit tired of it.
    • Seems very lazy, so basically drain more battery power on laptops/tablets if this is turned on.
    • Edifier's popular R1280Ts bookshelf speaker can be a nice upgrade for your PC desktop audio by Sayan Sen Yesterday we covered a very nice discount on Sony's high-resolution SS-CS5M2 speakers, which are currently on sale for just $178. It packs the rather rare super tweeter that offers an additional level of clarity and "airy"-ness which a tweeter cannot provide. It's a passive speaker though which means it will require external amplification, which will cost extra. Let's say though that you have a budget of under $150 but still want a decent-sounding speaker that's active. The Edifier 1280Ts can help in this regard, as the unit is currently at a decent price of $130 (purchase link under the specs table down below). While you will not get deep sub-bass from the 1280Ts, you should get clearer vocals and highs like cymbals than a cheaper satellite-based 2.1 system. Obviously the soundstage and imaging will also improve due to the better reproduction of highs. As mentioned above, the Edifier R1280Ts is active and so does not need a separate amplifier, as it's a powered system with its own amplification. A great thing about this model is that you can add a separate active subwoofer to it too using the "sub out" option, which essentially acts like an LFE. This way, you can add in the missing deep bass. The technical specifications of the Edifier R1280Ts are given in the table below: Specification Value Total Output Power 42W RMS (21W + 21W) Driver Units 4-inch mid-range/bass driver + 0.5-inch silk diaphragm treble driver Frequency Response 52Hz – 20kHz Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) ≥85dBA Input Sensitivity Line In1: R/L: 500±50mV Line In2: R/L: 700±50mV Inputs Dual RCA inputs Outputs Sub Out port for external subwoofer Get it at the link below: Edifier R1280Ts Powered Bookshelf Speakers - 2.0 Stereo Active Near Field Monitors with Subwoofer Line Out: $129.99 (Sold by Edifier Online Store, Shipped by Amazon US) This Amazon deal is US-specific and not available in other regions unless specified. • Appreciate the focus on UI performance, but this is going the wrong way. Instead of optimizing performance, coding to lower latency, etc. this is just throwing horsepower. This is lazy.
