DragonflyBSD help!?

Recommended Posts

I'm going to move over from Gentoo to a BSD on my P3-Mobile laptop. I've installed OpenBSD on my old celly ages ago plus my dad did most of the hardwork :p, but I never actually used it. I'm moving simply, Simply because I don't need bleeding edge software and long compile/install times but wanted to keep a ports like install system. I've choosen DragonflyBSD because it's supposed to be the most Linux like of the BSD's. Anyway, I need support for:

SCSI drive emulation

Firewire

USB

PCMCIA (I usually use the pcmcia-cs package, yenta_socket)

Orinoco/hermes support (orinoco, hermes, orinoco_cs)

Wireless tools (kismet etc)

Also support for my Intel Intergrated graphics on my i830M chipset.

Can the BSD's offer me this sort of support, is the kernel config similar at all to Linux and where am I likely to find the stuff I need? Also, how do BSD's stop/start services. Gentoo it's:

rc-update add servicehere default

/etc/init.d/servicehered start

Any other things I need to know about BSD's.
