no 3rd party dell accesories?

Recommended Posts

ive been searchin around the net for 3rd party dell accesories, and have come up empty, does dell not allow 3rd parties to make stuff for their laptops or desktops?? is that even possible?

i was looking for a quicksnap cover for my dell inspiron 6000 and only found them on dells site and its 45 bucks for a piece of plastic, i was wanting a clear one that they provide for hte XPS systems which allow you to put any picture under there. but again... have come up empty. does anyone know of some 3rd party sites out there? particularly with quicksnap covers?

also looking for a self sticking palmrests, would be a nice feature, with a stickon backing which would stick to the blank spaces by the trackpad.

also, if there arent any sites out there with quicksnaps, are there sites with adhesives to fit the entire area of the LCD? a light adhesive which would come off easily whenever i want to take it off.

makes me wish i had printing press or something so i could make this stuff myself. argh..

yes all ridiculous prices same as dells site.

by 3rd party i meant, like other than dell that make the parts, ie. not sold on dell.com so it woud be cheaper.

say like there are 3rd party nokia covers being sold for cheap in china or something.

    • According to the developer(s):
    • Most of the sellers are selling under a business name, and you can't jail a business. The best option would be to blanket ban brick chargers and regulate fixed PD faceplates for wall as a spur from existing sockets. That way they'd be checked with during during an EICR.
    • Totally ridiculous! They wonder why people can't stand their company...
