[Opera] Manual server name completion

Recommended Posts

Do you like to write "www." before and ".com" after the site address? I don't like. I like automaticaly server name completion. For example, if i want open Google Mail i am just write "gmail" in address bar and then press Alt+F1. It is works because i am using exclusive keyboard setup.

You can auto complete domain name in address bar using hotkeys:

Alt+F1 - auto complete with ".com" and "www." before then Go

Alt+F2 - auto complete with ".net" and "www." before then Go

Alt+F3 - auto complete with ".org" and "www." before then Go

Shift+F1 - auto complete with ".com" without "www." before then Go

Shift+F2 - auto complete with ".net" without "www." before then Go

Shift+F3 - auto complete with ".org" without "www." before then Go

I have a better idea:

Go to Bookmark -> Bookmark page. Enter Gmail.com in the adress field. Now the tricky part: In the Nickname field enter: gmail (or whatever you want).

Now you can write "gmail" in your adressbar and Opera will open the bookmark associated with that nickname.

I have lots of "nicknames" connected to my Bookmarks. It's very time saving.
