Deanobear Posted September 22, 2005 Share Posted September 22, 2005 Setting up repos for Mandriva is easy as pie. check out Easy Urpmi The only things you can't find are nvidia/ati drivers, acrobat reader and java, you need the "paid for" version of mandriva for those. markwolfe Veteran Posted September 23, 2005 Veteran Share Posted September 23, 2005 SUSE, Mandriva and Fedora are all RPM-based. I know that you can install apt-get for Fedora. I believe it just acts as a front end to the RPM installation process. I use yum mostly. It does the same job, but is more native to Fedora. In the end, all you are doing is changing yum install celestia for apt-get install celestia to do the same task. Are you set on getting apt? If so, select a Debian-based distro.
