Apt-get

Recommended Posts

SUSE, Mandriva and Fedora are all RPM-based.

I know that you can install apt-get for Fedora. I believe it just acts as a front end to the RPM installation process. I use yum mostly. It does the same job, but is more native to Fedora.

In the end, all you are doing is changing

yum install celestia for apt-get install celestia

to do the same task.

Are you set on getting apt? If so, select a Debian-based distro.

Well if not apt, then I'd at least like some good online repositories. Do you happen to know of any repositories with a lot of packages that I can add as an installation source in YaST of SuSE 10?
