kylejn Posted October 17, 2005 Share Posted October 17, 2005 Microsoft is still exploring the possibility of HD-DVD in the future, and is working on determining if there's a way to do it such that existing Xbox 360 users will be able to upgrade their drives themselves. Also, as has been said, it's going to be for movies, not for games, I believe. That said, I wouldn't be surprised if games are released on both formats, ala CD/DVD releases for PC games now-a-days. You could buy that big RPG on either one HD-DVD or 3 DVDs. Production costs for the two formats are going to be roughly the same, so it wouldn't be a big deal for a publisher to choose to go that route.
