rohitk89
I haven't seen the drop down menu but I've seen a navigation panel with links to other Google services on the left side of the browser (Firefox). They're probably trying to improve upon the site's usability. Woah! Those are gone!Oh yeah. I just noticed.

Gabnoj
They can make it only avaliable to you (and a select others) by only letting users with an IP of say, 123.456.78.* access it, so they can test how people react to it, and what happends. If all goes well, they will open it up to 123.456.*, and eventually, that will be the new Google page for everyone :D That, or you just installed Photoshop ;)
Tomi
Great idea. Although, they need to add in their music search. I keep forgetting what the url is for it, and I have a hard time finding it. :pinch:

Daem0hn
google often trial different pages for different ip ranges of people, to quote from some source i read "if 5% of people use the feature it is put into the 'advanced search' preferences if 20% of people use the feature, it becomes an option on the main page" although i dont know what they will do in this case.... i7r7
I went to my usual Google page (Australia) and it wasn't there but then I clicked on "Go to Google.com" and there it is. Interesting idea, however I'll continue to use the search bar in Firefox just because it's more convenient.
