NFS:CARBON CAR SHOWCASE

Its that time again, new Need For Speed is out. That means it's time to show off your hooked up cars/rides. This time it should be even more fun with AutoSculpt feature.

Try to keep your screenshots in photo mode, not in level, unless its a great shot.

...as usuall, don't cheat and earn your parts :)

XBOX / X360 screenshots are welcome too.

START IT UP

(note to MODS, can you please change the topic to "Need For Speed: CARBON Car Showcase" , thank you)

What is this? A car showcase thread without any cars to showcase  ? Since no one else has the game, why start the thread in the first place? In any case, since I'm the only one here to have the game, I start it off with showing my cars.

post-151171-1162376704_thumb.jpg

My first car, the Exotic Class 1 Alfa Romeo, painted black and with a few performance enhancements but nothing else.

My second car, which I've won off Wolf when I beat him in Canyon racing. I'm a bit peeved that I couldn't change the vinyls of this car as it's seem to be locked, unlike Most Wanted.

I'm already 50% into the Career mode and my crew consist of Neville, Chris from TFK and Yumi from Bushido. I've already beaten Wolf and Kenji and going to go against Angie of 21st Street.

Enjoy ;) .

Scirwode

Scirwode, how much have you played that you already comleted 50% of the game?

I played about 6 hours straight  .

Scirwode

Scirwode oh how i hate you... i'm not even within reach of buying this game and you've played it 6hours straight already! :'( lol, please tell me its gonna be worth the wait though?!?

 . I don't know if it's worth it for you to play it or not. It is all a matter of opinion. I like playing it so obviously I would say play it but you might not like it. However, I have written some personal opinions on the game itself so you can read about it in this thread or post here.

I'll try to post some pictures of the different elements of the game later when I have the time. Should I post it here though or in the other thread?

The final version is as bad as the demo, uninstalled it after reaching this conclusion. Frankly I don't understand how can a company as big and successful as EA produce a game that is worse than its predecessor (NFS Most Wanted).

120% agree with you. It's at least a step back in graphic quality and map details. And I don't like drift and this game is only about drift....

I hated the Demo, but was sure that the real deal would be better. Well 45$ later and I'm ****ed.

lol, uhh why does it look like that?

I just got this... can someone recommend a controller?? I like mouse/keyboard but for driving and sports.. I need a controller.. my old one died.. what should I get?

i'd recommend an xbox 360 controller, thats what i have...

    • Close, but it is for any application starting, not just during boot time. In fact, it probably will not improve boot time at all because during a boot, the CPU is already boosting, so a pre-boost wouldn't change anything. I agree that it isn't exciting (especially considering every other OS already does it), but it is a good thing, even if they are just playing catch up.
    • Any so called performance increase will be in milliseconds, which nobody will actually notice in real world usage.
    • All it does is use the CPU more efficiently during boot to speed up boot times. That's it. Yawn....
    • It's not a one or the other kind of thing. Software should run efficiently, and the operating system should appropriately manage the CPU clocks. You could have the best most optimized software on earth, and it will still run faster if the CPU does a better job of boosting as needed. All this is doing is pre-boosting the CPU based on user actions, instead of waiting for the normal detection mechanism to kick in. If the OS knows it is about to need more CPU, why shouldn't it use that knowledge? It's the same idea of downshifting before passing someone, instead of just burying your foot into the peddle and waiting for the transmission to figure out what you want to do.
