That ONLY happens sporadically and in very weird occassions, I have seen it happening but it eventually goes away, try logging into the Admin account and then logging off of it, rebooting the PC also seems to fix it sometimes.

Usually it happens when you have just downloaded a file that needs Admin privileges to be installed or ran. once you run it or install it and reboot it will go away, however keep in mind that the installer (.EXE file) of many

programs require Admin privileges to be installed correctly and when that's the case it will show that on the icon.

Disabling UAC is stupid and I would not recommend it at all.

Hi Guys i tried this on Vista premium

One way of getting rid of the security shield after disabling UAC is to right click the icon, "select properties",on the short cut tab select change icon, there you will see the original desktop icon displayed, select the same icon and apply...the shield should the be removed,

i have tried this with Vista and it worked ok for me, so i hope this is some help to others
