Anyone else having problems with the mouseover on "Log off' and "shutdown"? Also, in the screenshot it says "Turn off computer". On my computer it says "shut down"... This must be why.

Edit: I have the classic logon screen. So it must be a bug?

:(

Update: Altered Start menu to allow for the text length changing. Unfortunately this means losing the 'buttons' on the lower pane and replacing them with icons.

The download on dA is still the old version...

Anyway: Thanks for this very, very good visual style. I really appreciate it!

The text will read "Turn off computer" if you don't log into a domain. I assume you're buggering around with your work computer? I do it, too. So far IT hasn't gotten mad at me... :D

Text reads "shut down" for a classic logon no matter what, since I don't have a domain at home. Maybe because i turned fast user switch off

I AM using this VS at work though, and it confuses the heck out of IT folks logging in remotely (like one did today to troubleshoot an issue I had). They're like, uh u got Vista on here!!

I hate working on generic Windows tho! :o

Thx hornett for the update.

That is why the traditional start button is there! ;)

As for the max button, not sure why that is. Thanks for the report. Which app is that?

App is Photoshop. Those windows are the toolbar type windows. The max doesnt show properly and also it's obvious in the black one... when focus is taken away from the windows, the X button still looks like it would on a focussed window. There probably just needs to be new resources for the toolbar type windows for the Max and the X buttons... i am not that knowledgeable :|

You could probably just make those look like the styles pane in word 2k7

Those are the size 6 glyphs for the buttons. You shift the normal sized buttons and that glyph moves as well. Only the small close button is independent. Most likely you need to undo shifting of your buttons, the glyph will return to its place.

And nice work :)

    • WordArt was cool. We now have color fonts as a substitute although Word only supports COLRv0 and COLRv1 (Fraud OS 11 only). The OpenType SVG color font format needs to be supported by Office. Adobe's apps support it
