What does 3K $ means

how bout i repeat the answer again just in case he didn't get it the first time.

K = Kilo = 1000

now lets see how many more people can answer the same question.

Someday, after you get out from under your rock, you may also hear the term 3G.

It's essentially the same as K but the G stands for Grands or thousands (ie. 3G's is 3X1000=3000$)

A C Note is a 100 dollar bill hence 5 C Notes is 500$.

I'm pretty sure... that "grand" is not an acceptable term for counting amounts, or numbers.. it is more of a slang term.

^ True. Grand is a American slang.

Dunno where it originated from, but it's probably the same in most English speaking countries. I've heard the same term in the UK, Canada and Australia.
