a weather one like the default weather one that has the choice of options to display while docked.

eg: Temperature(same as default gadget)

Wind

Visibility

Barometer

Humidity

Sunset/Sunrise

Text about wheather condition (eg: Fair, Cloudy etc...)

Also buttons to progress throughout the week.

I really like the standard weather gadget cos its nice and compact and fits the vista theme well so adding this extra functionality would be amasing! It must be able to be done cos all the information is provided by msn weather

would love a simple gadget that will allow me to select from a radio station I want to listen to ... For examply, Mix 99.9FM Toronto or Energy 108... needs a dropdown, play and stop button ... plut the Close, Options (to add in players) and the drag bar

Example of player http://www.999mixfm.com/player/player <--- that's Mix 99.9FM Toronto

I have been looking for a Windows local maps gadget... where I can put in the address and it feeds it to the local.live.com and displays the maps. Either a flyout or a browser window would work, but it would be good to have a browser window option at least.

IMO Live local maps UI makes more sense to me than some other maps that are out there...

I'd like a gadget for Windows Calendar, so I can see appointments, activities and reminders from the sidebar, without opening the Calendar itself (you have to open it only to set your appointments).

Also I'd like a gadget to integrate Foobar 2000 in the sidebar

There's the VirtualEarthMap gadget from the AeroXperience forums (requires registration) which is similar to what you're looking for :)

I use a lazy way of editing others gadgets and adding in stuff than making my own...Well not lazy i just need to learn about gadgets more :p. I took the BBC radio player gadget and added the Mix 99.9 radio station. I could not find the radio stream for Energy 108 website.

BBCPlayerMod.zip

All i did was add this line in the Settings.html

Have you tried either the AccuWeather or the WeatherBug gadget? I was using the WeatherBug one for a bit, but I liked the slide-out feature of the AccuWeather Mini gadget - and the fact that it takes up less space in the Sidebar.

Have you tried the Traffic for Live Search gadget? It appears to have what you're looking for in the way of providing access to the local.live.com interface:

Provides quick access to real-time traffic conditions for many U.S. metro areas. The gadget also provides shortcuts to local search and driving directions in the selected market at maps.live.com.

Enjoy!

just for easier access and reference to how high the volume is actually set. the thing is, i have an HP laptop with quickplay buttons for the volume, so I sorta drag my finger across it to adjust the volume, and it's hard to tell exactly how much i've changed it.

i dunno, it seems like something that'd be easy enough for someone with experience to make, but this is coming from someone who knows nothing of these things.
