Quad Master
Foobar AVA - Created By dawxxx666 NOTE: All Credits to dawxxx666 for this excellent work. Its been a long time i had customized foobar and so i was not able to successfully apply his creation to my foobar in the first go. So as i found out a exact method i am posting a guide here on how to apply this excellent interface to ur foobar. This is guide is written by me after finding how to appropriately apply this as those who are new to foobar might find it difficult what to do. ===================================================== GUIDE ===================================================== Firstly uninstall ur current foobar. Download the latest version i.e. 0.9.4.3 and install it. From Here: http://www.foobar2000.org/foobar2000_0.9.4.3.exe Then Download everything mentioned on the first page =================================================== 1.> Copy all components to "components" folder Components needed: Foo_playcount lyric show modded Foo_peakmeter Panels_UI 0.13.8 Cwb Hooks Album Art panel Columns UI Album List Lyrics DB QuickSearch Toolbar Optional: WSH Panels (Unstable. May crash your foobar) WMPVis (Unstable, see here) Extract all the dll's to the components folder in foobar directory C:\Program Files\foobar2000\components =================================================== 2.> Then DOWNLOAD config [Foo_AvA_1.03_by_dawxxx666_24.06.2007][most important file] Link: Send big files the easy way with sendspace. Files too large for email attachments? No problem! Right click the rar and extract to a folder "X". X= any folder[but dont extract to the foobar folder] then you will get a file "Foo_AvA_1.03_by_dawxxx666_24.06.2007" with a foobar icon , which is a self extracting archive now dont extract it to the foobar folder instead extract this to any folder and this will be the files in that folder. Install all the fonts from the Foobar_Fonts.exe which is a self extracting archive. Let this folder be called "X" =================================================== 3.> Create a folder named "PanelsUI" in foobar's directory Like this C:\Program Files\foobar2000\PanelsUI Copy images folder , DAWXXX666_AVA_preferences.dx6 , DAWXXX666_AVA_1.03 from folder "X" to the C:\Program Files\foobar2000\PanelsUI path. ===================================================== Now the most important part. 4.> Now start foobar and select panels ui Now at this stage click "Ctrl + P" and you will get this screen. Here Select Panels UI at the side and then select DAWXXX666_AVA_1.03.pui Click Save All and you are done. Hope this info will help you setup ur foobar ava Enjoy Foo AvA ===================================================== Foo AvA Customization Guide ===================================================== 1.> This Small button on the bottom right will unlock your settings option. 2.> Click on Cover or Visualiztion to display - cover or album art - visualization 3.> Click on the small "L" on the "bottom left" part to see and automatically download lyrics [internet Required] 4.> Red Theme Open Settings , select the red theme radio button for red theme If not selected it will display blue theme. 5.> Adding more backgrounds and applying them in ur foobar Add your wallpapers in order 1,2,3,..........and so on in this folder. D:\Program Files\foobar2000\PanelsUI\images\fooAVA\walls Download Wallpapers from here Send big files the easy way with sendspace. Files too large for email attachments? No problem! Wallpapers pack by marceliszpak Send big files the easy way with sendspace. Files too large for email attachments? No problem! Using the Settigs 1 menu by clicking on the "+" sign u can select new wallpapers placed in the above mentioned folder and then click on the wallpaper to apply it. 6.> Enabling Peakmeter or Spectrum Analyser First disable transparency in Settings 1 section like this Then goto settings 2 section and select peakmeter or spectrum analyser. 7.> Different Playlist display methods based on sorting Right click anywhere on the playlist Sort/Group By > Edit > Check Album [sort and group] boxes to sort by album name. To apply readymade sorting methods select anyone from Sort/Group By > Edit > For Eg Artist/Date/Album will show this Big Big Thanks to dawxxx666 for creating this wonderful theme for foobar without whom i wont have been able to create this guide. Zuffox
I've run into problems installing the skin. Running Vista, and haven't installed the lyricsdb plug-in, as their servers are down. When I've followed the steps until step 4, I can indeed select the skin layout under PanelsUI, but after having pressed "Save All", the chosen layout reverts back to the default layout (I can choose between a 'basic\basic.pui' and a default.pui without running into any issues, though). Halp.

kloss
The Foobar_Fonts.exe will not run! I'm using Win XP Pro. Can I manually download the fonts from somewhere? hi Just change the extension of Foobar_Fonts.exe file to .rar and extract it using WinRar. Now you have all needed fonts (6 files with .ttf extensions) and 2 others useless files (fontinst.inf & fontinst.exe). The last thing you have to do is just copy these 6 fonts files to c:\WINDOWS\Fonts job well done :p
