Hi there

Let's see If anyone can help me on this:

I want to remove/disable/hide the windows logon, so when I log in automatically (using control userpasswords2) I don't see any windows referenced images.

I don't want to use any app like Reshack to change the logon images. I really wanted not to see it. The password would be configured using control userpasswords2.

Thanks in advance

Thanks for your reply

Yes, I am using XP. I am testing to see if I can use this in windows XP Embedded

I turned the welcome screen off because my objective is to hide "windows XP references" , so that when somebody logs into the system, they don't see any windows standard references.

The idea it's to believe that we are using a embedded system, where the user has access to an application, and he runs everything he needs through it

You could make the program the shell and replace explorer. That would work.

I tried that but although the log on images appear really fast, it's possible to realise that I'm using windows XP.

You can only turn off the welcome screen, you can't turn off the xp login banners, however you can reshack them, as you pointed out.

The only way is to reshack them? Because I really didn't want to use any app to change the O.S. :(
