Most of that stuff's only about old versions.

When Steam first came out it sucked, now it's really good.

I've never heard anything bad about Steam. Me and a few of my friends all have Steam accounts and have bought titles through it and it's always worked like a charm!

Ah really? Probably, I haven't looked into it since I have the game, but I presume either way, it's running off the full game engine so requirement should be the same.

I don't know the specifics but I can tell you that my steam folder is 6.5GB, and the system upgrades at a rate of about 500kb/s.

For those who have downloaded, can you check? It should be inside your Steam folder, called SteamApps?

sundax: 6.5 Gb, that must have include CS:Source, HL2, etc..can you check on the individual files under steam apps?
