[Offical] GTA V Wishlist

Recommended Posts

After playing though GTA IV, we've all got our reservations about what should and should not be in the next iteration of this awesome game. To me, the game is all about 'realism' which Rockstars Dan Houser even said they strive for after each generation of GTA. To me, that is what i'd like to see as well, while as GTA IV was very real compared to the previously versions.

To make GTA V ahuge notch up from GTA IV, i've decided to make a thread where we can all add to a wishlist or even give ideas on where Rockstar North can add/remove features or suggest new ideas.

For me i'll start:

1. For realism, i'd love to see characters on the street mapped from real people, say even the devs. 150 - 300 random characters on the street who are all Rockstar Devs who all play a part would be fantastic. Of course they would all have the amount of polygons as the main character, and each should have about 20 random sayings, depending on what they are doing.

2. I also loved the idea of watching TV, however, I was a little disapointed with the content. Don't get me wrong, the shows were all great, but lacked something that made it, funny. Like The Mens Room, I dunno it prolly is just me, but those two were just boring. I would love to see say a real, live action 10 minute show of say 'America's Next Top Hooker' or '72' where Jack Bauer takes the **** on his character on 24. Not to mention have tv advertising based on the game which is just hilarious.

3. If GTA IV spawns another set of 'trilogys' based on its story, have GTA City of Vice next, with Niko and his Cousin Roman again, since alot the game made many, many refences to Vice City. If they decide to skip straight to GTA V; have it set in Carson City, which of course could be Chicago or another city not yet visited in the GTA universe. My vote here goes to Tokyo.

4. I have to say it; more realistic handling for the cars. Nothing bothers me more then having the car loose traction at high speeds. At least include ABS and Stabilty Control!

5. Since GTA V would include ALOT more data since it would be released on BluRay, id love to be able to walk into EACH and EVERY place in the next city. If they make a MMO based GTA, you could be able to buy a apartment or house and use that as a safe house where you have to defend it from rival gangs or people.

Well thats all I can think of atm, so people lets give Rockstar ideas what would make the next GTA fantastic and truely makes it a next gen game!!!

I think it's a bit premature to talk about GTA5 when GTA4 has only been out for 2 weeks. I mean, we still have GTA4 episodic content for the 360 which is supposed to add quite a few hours to the single player game, among other DLC for both consoles. It's probably going to be a good 3 or 4 years before you see another GTA.

nah man, the way it is , is just great ... no changes should be made to the content ... yeah sure the 25mph thing should kill you but it is a game .... i am more for the little details like the wrecked vehicles should be towed, fire/police/ambulance should give u some help or beat you up, the fire hydrants should spew water and not stop after 3 mins, snow (seasons in the game) and also a "live" city, meaning, buildings will be brought down and then something else should be constructed, mind you some randomness should be there based on the year and time played but some missions could be tied into that ... more fog (weather), sex, drugs, clothing, the chanse to have your own sex slave :D (male or female) stuff like that

number 5 won't work as it'll require way too much work unless buildings have a standard interior

I was thinking they could get a developer to create a script that automatically generates interiors similar to other games having tools like that to do the terrain. Thing is while that takes away the "time" issue it brings up the far worse one which is performance. It's just not viable. It also throws the game balance if you can sit in a building next to your target and snipe out the windows of any apartment. It's be cool gameplay wise but they'd need a way to cater for that.

besides the next version may not be a Blu Ray release. With a 3 or maybe 4 year release cycle which to me seems realistic given the engine and alot of art assets could be reused, it's possible the game will still hit the 360.

In response to what I want to see from the series. I'd like more side locations, shops ect. More ability to purchase places. Far far tighter camera control (I dont like how the camera lags when your driving personally). Lastly I'd like to see an option to set the controls up similar to an fps, where side is used for side motion rather than turning. I personally find it alot better to navigate this way. On the same control note, lose the whole "a" to run and"tap a" to sprint. Just do those actions according to how far the analogue stick is being moved.

edit: ohh and better persistance in relation to traffic. Don't have things changing too much when you turn around (cars appearing and disapearing as you do 180 turns). I've only played for a few hrs this time so havent tested that but someone said it still happens.

This idea popped into my head the day it came out. I was talking to some friends at work about it.

Just suppose someone was demented enough, and would log the time into it, where they killed every NPC in the city and no one respawned. Basically, you kill someone, they never appear again. So in theory you could be a mass murderer and kill everyone in the city. Now I guess they only way to counter that would be for the national guard to respond or something to that.

I was watching Death Note (finally) last night and i thought wouldn't it be good if they made a GTA in Japan. Maybe base it on the mafia over there. I know there are them Yakuza games for PS2/3 but with the Rockstars story telling, it could be brilliant.

However GTA V is years off. I think they'll do the same as they did with GTA III and make a couple of "expansions" before a full blown sequel.

I hope they put planes in the next gta again. and maybe a bit more stores for buying clothes etc.

as long as they don't bring back gangs and the territories-defending from SA and the bodybuilding/eating, it doesn't really matter what they do anymore :p

I fully agree. The whole gang stuff in SA was crazy annoying.

I actually likes the gang stuff, I agree a bit annoying but overall fun. Plus the body building was a good idea I felt, but definitely the planes (I actually was hoping no planes was a rumour but im guessing noit, havent done much around the airport yet) and buying properties has to come back. Hell I cant even find a place to store my cars with these current 'safehouses'

My idea for the next GTA...

1.The city to be Vice City but set in modern day with a bigger better city ? possibly based more on Miami than it original was.

2.Modern radio stations with some that play original 80s music.

3.More interaction ? the ability to talk to random strangers, actually using the kitchen in the home...even jump out your house win:pw :p (I know you can do this in some of the safe houses in IV but not all...)

4.The accessibility to purchase more, such as homes, food, drink, cars maybe even boats (that actually belong to you and don?t disappear).

Had loads more ideas when was talking about it to a friend the other day but you get what i mean  (currently listening to Flock of Seagulls - :pRan :p)

Had a thought - let's just say (for example) that it was set in London:

How about REAL LIVE radio stations? Radio1 for example, streams it's content on the web. What an opportunity to also have that streamed to a radio station within GTA?

Why would we want to listen to the trash Radio1 for?

I was thinking about the steaming of live radio as well, dont know if it can be done, but have Rockstars advertisments over the real live ones, and every hour a Weazel news update that is based on a real hour so it goes over the real radios hourly news.

I love the idea of interacting with NPCs in the game too, say a little old lady gets her bag snactched, and we return it to her after killing/beating down the assaliant. That would be awesome.

Keep up the great ideas :)

I'd also love to see the game following the same weather as your local area, so say it grabs the weather from the internet then in the game you have exactly the same weather with showers at certain times... sunny etc. maybe make it optional so it doesnt depress the hell out of you in the winter lol.

    • Sorry to be that guy but, Given Trump won again even after a failed first term it would appear attacking the other side is how to gain Government in America. Voters when it came down to it didn't give a s**t about those Democratic achievements and voted for Trump over an intelligent, qualified mixed race woman. We need to face up to this uncomfortable reality. There are more Americacan voters who support racism and christian bigotry along with defending and supporting pedophilia, adjudicated rapists, multiple time convicted felons etc than those who don't. Btw, that is how the world sees America now. Not that Trump voters care as they attempt to cocoon themselves in a white supremacy bubble.
    • That's not clickbait. Clickbait is headlines like, "You'll never guess what this person looks like now" for example. For goodness sake, take a look around the internet if you think this is clickbait. How do sites survive if people don't click through to articles? How many people in all honesty would have clicked this if it had your suggested headline? You and those upvoting your post won't be happy until the web is a couple of hundred websites all behind a paywall.
