Viva Pinata 2 Screens, And By Association, Announcement?

Recommended Posts

Looks like the good ship Microsoft Press Conference, which was due in port on Tuesday to shower us all with news and media of exciting new titles, has sprung a leak. Banjo Kazooie 3 screens? Leaked. What look like Viva Pinata 2 screens? Leaked. No news or info to accompany the screens, of course, but you can't blame Microsoft & Rare for thinking second time's a charm. Oh, and is that a second player's cursor I see in the above screen?

I tried the first one and found out it really wasn't for me, but this will definetly interest somebody down the line. :p

I picked up Viva for $20 ages ago... while I enjoyed playing the game itself... it just gets waaaay too frustrating.... I mean... the countless time i spent to get some damn thing to finally come to my garden... only for it to get in a fight... and die.. and of course I didnt have enough money to pay for the guy to repair him... (this was before I knew about the ivey farming).... maybe one day ill check it out again....

Thats while you create different gardens to house different animals. Your money stays the same and gains over all gardens. Same with animals etc on your profile.

Cant wait for this the first one was brilliant and im still trying to finish it off.

Thanks to the newest issue of Game Informer there is now even more news about Rare's newest 360 outings. Regarding Viva Pinata 2, the article says that the game now sports online two player drop-in/drop-out co-op, a massively expanded trading card system, over thirty new pinatas, a photo mode, and more.

Viva Pinata 2: Trouble in Paradise

- Improved interactivity between the pinata's and the environments.

- Pinata's will mimic each others action and follow the leader around the garden.

- They'll be adding toys for the pinatas to play with like musical instruments, spaced themed toys, and trains that the pinata's will ride around the garden.

-VP2 uses the Vision Cam in conjunction with game-generated codes to share all manner of objects, including custom designed pinatas, buildings or abilities, the weather and more.

-"We were told how Rare had designed a moose that got a big, red nose only around christmas time... and this could be passed around with these cards"

Apparently the newest issue of Game Informer had a bunch of info about Banjo 3 and Viva Pinata.

-Spenser

I liked the 1st but would like to see

- ability to have animals auto mate or whatever if you dont feel like doing that stuff. Doing so would result in the occasional mate so if you need to grow the population fast you'll still need to take over.

- better mini games. The mazes got pretty horrible after a while

- 3D terrain. I'd like to see some hills or something rather than it being 100% flat.

- Larger areas, more allowable pinatas and assets in those areas.

I like the idea of the reindeer only appearing around xmas time. Taking that idea from Animal Crossing where you can only collect items / pinatas at certain times of the year really makes you go back to the game and play months after you bought it. It's pretty addicting. I hope they stem it out more than just Rudolph though :/

And awesome news about the co-op :D

    • Apple CEO Tim Cook confirms looming price hikes due to memory shortages by Hamid Ganji Image via Apple Memory and chip shortages have led to significant price increases for electronics over the past year, and it seems that more hikes are on the way for upcoming smartphones and computers. Apple CEO Tim Cook has confirmed that the company is planning to increase the prices of some of its products due to the ongoing memory and storage shortages. In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Cook confirmed the looming price hikes for Apple’s future products, adding that “Unfortunately, price increases are unavoidable.” He also said the company is doing its best to “mitigate the huge increases that are being passed to us, and we’ve been trying to shield our customers from the increases, but the situation has become unsustainable.” The Apple CEO also noted that the allocation of a large portion of memory chips to AI companies has contributed to shortages in the market, resulting in lower supply at a time when demand for devices remains high. “We definitely need memory pricing and supply to return to reasonable levels for consumer products. That’s the bottom line,” Cook said. Cook also added that Apple is ready to use its vast cash reserves to help boost supply in the market because additional production capacity is needed. While he declined to specify how Apple plans to do that, he said the company will not build its own memory and storage factories despite its financial resources and silicon expertise. Cook did not provide further details on the scale of the price increases or which Apple products would be affected, though iPads and Macs could see higher prices sooner than other products. Apple’s next product launch event is scheduled for September, when the company is expected to unveil the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and its first foldable iPhone. It remains unclear whether the upcoming iPhones will be affected by the price increases, but given the current memory shortage, higher prices seem increasingly likely. There is currently no clear timeline for the end of the memory shortage. Samsung, one of the world’s three largest memory chip manufacturers, recently said the shortage could persist for several more years.
    • Downloads does not equal actual usage, even less when the app is pre-installed in some Galaxy phones.
    • +1000 to this, don't understand why they added that margin around the top bar, even the close button is a PITA to click without aiming. Ofc, this is just preview and hopefully they will revert such odd UX decision before hitting final version.
    • so the people who bought this will get a refund?
