The Shield Season 7

The plots are usually pretty solid but the hotel murder had me scratching my head, Ronny wiped down the gun but not the door handle, and his car was parked directly in front of the room, which he sped off from quite suspiciously. Shane shows up, runs into the room, chops the dude's feet off, runs out, and runs back in. Meanwhile, a witness supposedly called in the gunshots, given specific enough directions that the cops go straight to that room. This just seems like major oversight by an otherwise flawless writing staff of 'The Shield'. Unless Dutch comes up with the hotel witness indicating the strike team's involvement in a later episode.

... and what happened to the new member that was suppose to join the strike team last season? Did he get written out as quickly as he was written in?

I forget if the team forced him out for being a too much of a maverick or if he took a better job.

Didn't Claudette put Julien on the strike team? I always forget season to season because I never catch reruns and havn't invested int he box sets yet.

Your right Budious. It wasn't hardcore action like some past episodes, but it was really good mix of setting up the story, and throwing some "street time" in there.

I wonder how its gonna turn out with Vic thou? His family is in danger, he's really pushing the business man, and Claudette is sure keeping an eye out for him.

P.S. I hope Shane dies. I hate him :p

The pace of the show has really heated up the past few weeks, and tonight's episode was exceptional. It meet the audiences need for some carthesis of Vic's character and a confirmation of the person we've known he was all alone but would accept the truth about him. Next week is the special 90 minute series finale so tune in, and catch up on past episodes if you haven't tuned in lately, I don't think anyone would be disappointed by this series. It's a shame to see it all finally coming to a glorious end, I can't think of any other show that has ever seen the worst possible outcome for every major character of the show come to be in the finale.

OMG I couldn't believe he took the deal! That was crazy! I really can't wait. It was such a good episode. I love it. Looking forward to what happens.

I'll bet Vic forgot to say something on tape, and he will get busted for that.

agree, something big is going to happen next week :)

Oh I can't waitttttt for next week. I think Ronnie might be the one to take care of Vik, once the blonde fed woman tells him how Vick plans to "string him along for a few weeks" n then screw him? Something shocking gonna happen, no wayyyyyy the show ends with Vick getting away with it all.

This week's episode was crazy awesome. It's too bad the show is going to end. There's no way Vic gets away with it. It sucks that he totally screwed over Ronnie thinking he was saving his wife.

The evil part of me wants to see him save Ronnie somehow, find out about how Karin is trying to get him busted and kill her, and kill the entire Vandrel family. Oh, and it would be pretty funny if Dutch really lost his job.

By the way, Billings is the best character ever.

Awww, kinda disappointing.

Figure gotta wait a few days at least til no need for spoilers anymore.

He gets away with everything! All he has to do is work a job he can't stand for 3 years and hes a free man forever. Kinda doubt they'll renew his work contract after that, lol. While Ronnie is rotting away in prison for the rest of his natural life for sure. And Shane, and his family, awww soooo sad, why the kid too, jeez. Was hoping Mackey would put a gun in his mouth at the end. Never gets to see his kids again ever, but still, not fair he gets away with it all.

Can't believe its just over like that. Miss the show already.

In the end Vick gets away with everything. Shane and Ronnie really were just followers of Vick and were really not evil. Shane as we saw the past few episodes has a soft side for his family. Vick on the other hand is just troubled. Shane and Ronnie should really be the free ones as the show portrayed.

So in the end they all lost. Lem & Shane are dead. Vic had everything he cared for taken away- thus giving him no reason to live destroying him the only way they could, through his heart & mind and Ronnie is locked up for the rest of his life.

Harsh ending. But it couldn't end any other way.

Vic may have well given Ronnie a death sentence, prison is going to be a very unfriendly place for a former strike team member. Vic lost big and ended up his own personal hell, all his friends are, his family is gone, his coworkers of past and present know his history and will never accept him, and he has to put it for at least three years on see his immunity revoked. The final scene of him putting pictures on his desk, he chose only to surround himself with people he never betrayed. I thought it was a solid ending for the main cast, though there are some loose ends, and lots left to interpretation.
