iMac Alu and DVD+R DL

sup Mac Peeps!

i bought some "Sony DVD+R DL" and tried to burn my iphoto library, the disc seems to burn fine, but when verifying, it gives me and error, yet the disc is readable.

I did a Fresh install of Leopard and tried again, but no luck, same thing.

could that be incompatibility issues with the DVDs ?because when i use Single layer DVDs they burn and verify just fine.

or is it that my Superdrive could be going bad?
