Gmail not work on MobileMe?

did anyone tried or using mobileme with gmail account added on?

i m trying to add gmail on mobileme but dont work , keep saying the incoming server is not right

i m sure i got the pop right (pop.gmail.com) and i did entered all my login and password

even i tried different ways to input them

but still keep saying:

The mail server for your external POP account cannot be reached. Make sure the incoming mail server is correct in the Other tab of Mail Preferences.

Short answer. MobileMe is the biggest and buggiest POS Apple as ever released. Chalk that up an one more advertised feature that does not work anywhere near expectation.

Make sure you've actually enabled POP access on your Gmail account - it's not enabled by default.
