How would I go about letting someone use my wireless connection on my router, without any kind of access to my files or network?

I know I can just set permissions and stuff on the computers but I'd prefer something that will totally isolate my network from his via the router. Anyway to do this?

I think it's default that there's no sharing allowed. What OS are you using?

What wireless router do you have? Most have an option for whats called "Client Isolation" or "Wireless Isolation". It allows you to stop machines on your LAN/WLAN from being able to communicate with each other.

I dunno but my Linksys Wireless Router wouldn't let you see what other people have. The only way to share is to allow that using the "Network and Sharing Center" and other PC's would have to enter your Username and Password to gain access. That's what I do with my Laptop.

Thats an OS setting and has nothing to do with the router.
