ati radeon drivers for compaq presario v2000

Does anyone know where I can find drivers for an ati radeon video card in a compaq presario v2000?

I can't find it anywhere, all I find is things saying don't use the drivers for just any old radeon it has to be from hp. But when I look this model of laptop up it links me to intel video drivers which I know this thing doesn't have since there is an ati sticker on it

I came upon this old post looking for video drivers for a Compaq V2000...I too have recently acquired this pc and am aware there are several flavors of the V2000 model...I found the part number EC188UA#ABA on the case tag, and think that it's a ATI Radeon xpress 200m video. I can't seem to find the correct driver anywhere, and W2000 set it to a teeny-tiny VGA display :(

Any help will be most appreciated!

The part number you listed directed me to the Compaq v2300, specifically the 2311US.

HP does not officially release any drivers for Windows 2000 on this machine. They do support XP though.

However, AMD has a driver page here: Click here

It says you are supposed to install the GART driver first, followed by the Display driver, and possibly the South Bridge driver. You don't need the Catalyst Control Center unless you want to customize every little detailed setting.
