what connection type to use with ZyXel EQ-660R

hello, at this thread Link i seem to be going both ways and am totally confused. i have set up the Netgear Router as an Access Point and that worked for awhile but now i have noticed some things like the DSL Modem freezing or giving limited Connection issues through Windows Vista and Xp. i am fed up with it and i noticed a new way of a connection and that is by bridging the connection but i am new at bridging a connection and don't no how quite to do it.

for now i have reset both the DSL Modem and Router and just simply using standard settings.
