Contrast Hosting

There seems to be a lot of unhappy people on the Contrast Hosting forums. Has anyone had experience with them? I am aware that Frank from Neowin is the owner of the company. Apparently a lot of people have not had their accounts setup or established on time or at all?

I signed up tonight am now a little worried. I need my account created and setup as soon as possible to start my businesses online presence.

Your assistance with this matter is greatly appreciated.

Is Contrast Hosting still 'alive' - is Frank 'alive'...? Are they reliable? From what I have heard and read - they are. But now I am worried that its going to take 2-4 weeks to get an account created (as I've also read). I need this completed within 24-48 hours.

Don't worry, Frank is as reliable as they come.

And you will always see alot more unhappy customers on forums - that's normal - customers who are happy with the service are unlikely to sign up to a forum just to say so, unfortunately.

Thanks bmaher. I'm greatly excited about hosting our website with Contrast and was sure as that they were the company for us. But after reading so many negative experiences after reading so many pleasant experiences it got me a bit worried. I hope my experience as great as those I first read. Really looking forward to it happening as smooth as possible.

yeah, in my own experience i'd be alot more worried if the forum had nothing but positive replies... happened to me once with a program ive bought from a company, looked at their official 'support' forums, filled with nothing but joy and happiness, bought it, crapped out on me on the first run, posted about it on the forums, next thing i know i am banned and my post removed....

most hosts remove negative comments. glad to know they don't all do that. every host has some problems and its better to admit it then hide it.
