syncing a blackberry on ubuntu ?

Recommended Posts

This didn't worked?

Also after a quick search, Barry looks to be able to handle synchronization.

i plugged in my bb and all it does is charge it. i have ubuntu 8.10 x64, i think that guide is for a older ubuntu build running 32bit.

any help would be appreciated.

Lechio posted a link to here: http://www.netdirect.ca/software/packages/barry/index.php

Which explains a bit about it, and different ways to get and install. It also contains a link to Ubuntu binaries, if that is what you are after, by pointing to this site: https://launchpad.net/~doctormo/+archive

And in that second link, there are various deb files for the barry utils, libraries and such for three platforms: lpia, x86 and amd64

I would try installing the libraries and packages for amd64, and see if that works for you.
