[IE8] Flash player not working

I just upgraded to IE8 on vista. Now when I visit a site with flash it tells me I need to download the latest flash player. When I go to install flash from the website I get all the install options, but when the player is properly installed it shows a flash movie. Mine never does. I have gone and unistalled the player manually and reinstalled it. Any ideas?

I DL'd the flash uninstaller, ran it, then re-installed and it was all good from there :)
