Hello,

So, I used to have a Motorola SBG900 provided by my cable company as a router, however about a month ago it died and it was replaced by another Motorola SBG900.

The problem is that the new modem comes with a "configuration file" that changes the wireless network name and security settings back to the cable company's defaults every time the modem is restarted. I'd use the default settings except for the fact that the "security" is a freakin' WEP key.

I called my cable company and they assured me that the configuration file cannot be edited. I obviously know this is not true and I wanted to see if any of you know how to edit the configuration file for this series of modems.

Thanks in advance.
