ImageShack replacement

imageshack used to be good, go there, upload, grab url to image.

but now they made it all javascript based so it's a hassle to use it now

can you suggest a good replacement that's just as reliable, relatively large (i want the obscurity of lots of people uploading to it), allows same or bigger file sizes, and doesn't require javascript for basic upload and copy direct link to image??

I'm not too familiar with ImageShack, so I'm sorry if this is wrong, but doesn't the old version which they are still fully supporting (at the moment) work how you wish (how it used to)?

I don't know how long they will be supporting this and I know this wouldn't be perfect for the long term, but I'm hoping it might help you until you can find a replacement you prefer :)

Also, I'd recommend Photobucket too (Y)

I recommend Flickr. They have more than one method of uploading, respectively. The photos can also be licensed by Creative Commons. Lastly, you can share photos anywhere, and can even join group sharing -- which is a photo pool and discussion board.

flickr and photobucket, unfortunately, need registration, which defeats the point

thank you guys for trying, but the closest one (tinypic) doesn't seem to be up to par with imageshack =(

Bad idea. You can't link directly to photos with Flickr's terms of service. You need to provide a link to the image's page... Of course you can use it that way, but if they find out, your account will be terminated.

try Humyo. It's really easy to share and has 25 gb photos, music, videos storage and 5 gb for other data.

I think photobucket was more bandwidth & size upload friendly. All I would do is re-size to keep it under a meg most time. I ended up getting a flickr account since it was not very expensive and now I can do full size photos and decent video clips.

Besides localhostr id recomend cubeupload.com simple and robust. Upload and forget about it.

I always use ompload. Imgur is quite popular on reddit though so it probably gets much more traffic for your obscurity req.

It's not massively popular, so it's pretty quick. Plus, I own it now :p
